Role Description The Senior Interior Designer will lead end-to-end design projects for optical and retail showrooms, from concept development to final execution. This full-time, on-site role based in Mumbai involves collaborating with clients to understand brand, functional, and aesthetic requirements, and translating them into detailed interior layouts and design proposals. The role includes preparing design presentations, coordinating construction drawings, selecting materials and FF&E, and working closely with in-house manufacturing, project management, and installation teams to ensure designs are delivered as planned. The Senior Interior Designer will mentor junior designers, maintain design documentation, support site visits and inspections, and ensure all projects meet company quality standards, timelines, and budget parameters.
Qualifications
- Strong Interior Design and Architecture skills, with proven experience in commercial or retail showroom projects.
- Proficiency in Space Planning, including circulation, zoning, and functional layouts tailored to retail environments.
- Hands-on expertise in Construction Drawings, detailing, and coordination with fabrication and execution teams.
- Experience with FF&E selection, including fixtures, finishes, furniture, and display systems aligned with brand guidelines.
- Relevant academic background such as a degree or diploma in Interior Design, Architecture, or a related field.
- Ability to work on-site, conduct regular site visits, and coordinate with cross-functional teams and vendors.
- Strong visualization, presentation, and client communication skills, including proficiency in design and drafting software (e.g., AutoCAD, SketchUp, or similar tools).
- Attention to detail, time management, and capability to lead multiple projects simultaneously in a fast-paced environment.
