JOB DESCRIPTION – INTERIOR DESIGNER

About the Role
We are looking for a creative and detail-oriented Interior Designer to join our team. The candidate will be responsible for understanding client requirements, developing design concepts, preparing drawings and 3D visualizations, selecting materials, and coordinating with the execution team to ensure projects are completed according to approved designs, budgets, and timelines.
Key Responsibilities
1. Design & Space Planning
- Understand client requirements, preferences, and budget.
- Develop interior design concepts, layouts, and space-planning solutions.
- Prepare 2D layouts, furniture layouts, elevations, and working drawings.
- Create 3D models and realistic renders for client presentations.
- Design modular kitchens, wardrobes, TV units, and customized furniture.
2. Material Selection
- Assist in selecting plywood, laminates, acrylic sheets, finishes, hardware, lighting, and other interior materials.
- Prepare material boards and design presentations.
- Stay updated on current interior design trends, materials, and products.
3. Client Coordination
- Participate in client meetings and understand project requirements.
- Present design concepts, layouts, and 3D renders.
- Incorporate client feedback and make revisions as required.
- Maintain clear communication throughout the design process.
4. Technical Drawings & Execution
- Prepare detailed drawings for site execution.
- Coordinate with site supervisors, carpenters, contractors, and vendors.
- Conduct site visits to verify measurements and monitor design implementation.
- Ensure execution follows approved drawings and specifications.
- Assist in resolving site-related design and measurement issues.
5. Estimation & Documentation
- Assist in preparing BOQs, quotations, and material estimates.
- Maintain project drawings, material specifications, and revision records.
- Help ensure designs remain within the approved project budget.
Required Skills & Qualifications
- Diploma or degree in Interior Design, Architecture, or a related field.
- 1–3 years of experience in interior design; freshers with a strong portfolio may be considered.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD and SketchUp.
- Knowledge of rendering software such as V-Ray, Enscape, Lumion, or equivalent is preferred.
- Basic understanding of modular kitchens, wardrobes, furniture detailing, and interior materials.
- Good communication, presentation, and coordination skills.
- Creativity, attention to detail, willingness to learn, and the ability to meet deadlines.
Preferred Candidate Profile
- Experience in residential interior design projects.
- Understanding of plywood, laminates, acrylic finishes, and modular furniture hardware.
- Ability to work collaboratively with design and execution teams.
- A portfolio showcasing design concepts, 2D drawings, and 3D renders.

- Timely submission of design concepts, drawings, and renders.
- Accuracy of measurements and technical drawings.
