Role Description The Senior Interior Designer will lead end-to-end interior design projects, from concept development and space planning to final execution on site. This full-time, on-site role is based in Mumbai and involves close coordination with architects, contractors, and suppliers to ensure design intent is translated into high-quality workmanship. Daily responsibilities include preparing design presentations, reviewing construction drawings, selecting FF&E (furniture, fixtures, and equipment), and overseeing finishing materials and color schemes. The Senior Interior Designer will conduct site visits, monitor progress, resolve design and technical issues, and ensure projects are delivered on time and within quality standards. The role also includes mentoring junior designers, maintaining client communication, and contributing to continuous improvement in design processes and technology usage.
Qualifications
- Strong Interior Design and Space Planning skills, with the ability to develop functional and aesthetically pleasing layouts.
- Knowledge of Architecture and Construction Drawings, including the ability to interpret and coordinate detailed plans with project teams.
- Expertise in FF&E selection, including furniture, fixtures, materials, finishes, and decorative elements aligned with project budgets and design concepts.
- Proficiency in design and drafting software (e.g., AutoCAD, SketchUp, Revit, or similar) and familiarity with visualization tools.
- Proven experience leading complete interior design projects, preferably in residential or commercial sectors.
- Excellent communication and client management skills, with the ability to present ideas clearly and negotiate design solutions.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail, with the ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines.
- Degree or diploma in Interior Design, Architecture, or a related field; professional certifications are an advantage.
