About the Role
We are looking for an experienced Senior Interior Designer to lead premium residential interior design projects from concept to execution. The ideal candidate should possess strong design creativity, technical expertise, client management skills, and hands-on experience in coordinating project execution. This role involves working closely with homeowners, project teams, and vendors to deliver aesthetically pleasing, functional, and high-quality residential spaces.
Responsibilities
Client Consultation & Design Planning
- Understand clients' lifestyle, functional requirements, design preferences, budget, and project expectations.
- Conduct client meetings, design discussions, and site visits.
- Present design concepts, layouts, mood boards, material selections, and furniture proposals.
- Incorporate client feedback into final design solutions while maintaining design quality.
Design Development
- Develop creative and functional residential interior concepts.
- Prepare:
- Space planning & furniture layouts
- Working drawings & construction documentation
- Elevations & detailed drawings
- Custom furniture and storage designs
- Material palettes and lighting concepts
- Ensure designs balance aesthetics, functionality, comfort, and long-term usability.
Material & Product Selection
- Recommend suitable materials, finishes, fixtures, furniture, and accessories.
- Prepare detailed material specifications.
- Stay updated with the latest design trends, products, and materials.
Project Coordination & Execution
- Coordinate with Project Managers, Site Engineers, Vendors, Consultants, and Execution Teams.
- Conduct regular site visits to monitor project progress.
- Review drawings and resolve on-site technical issues.
- Ensure execution aligns with approved designs, timelines, and quality standards.
Client Relationship Management
- Deliver an excellent customer experience through regular communication and project updates.
- Guide clients through design decisions with practical recommendations.
- Resolve client concerns professionally and build long-term relationships.
Team Leadership
- Lead multiple residential interior projects simultaneously.
- Mentor and support junior designers.
- Participate in design reviews and contribute innovative ideas.
- Ensure timely project delivery while maintaining high-quality standards.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree or Diploma in Interior Design or Architecture.
- 8–12 years of experience in Residential Interior Design.
- Proven experience handling residential interior projects from concept to completion.
- Strong understanding of residential construction methods, furniture detailing, materials, and site execution.
- Experience managing client interactions, vendor coordination, and project execution independently.
