Role Description As a Senior Interior Designer at Ocean of Design, you will lead end-to-end interior design projects for premium residential spaces, from concept development through final execution. This full-time, on-site role based in Bengaluru involves meeting with clients to understand their needs, creating design concepts and mood boards, and developing detailed space plans and layouts. You will coordinate closely with architects, production teams, and site teams to prepare and review construction drawings, select and specify FF&E, and ensure designs align with budget, timelines, and quality standards. Daily responsibilities include site visits to monitor progress, resolving design-related issues, guiding junior designers, and collaborating with the in-house furniture manufacturing team to translate bespoke concepts into finished products. You will also present design proposals, incorporate feedback, and maintain strong client relationships throughout the project lifecycle.
Qualifications
- Proven expertise in Interior Design and Architecture, with experience leading high-end residential and commercial projects.
- Strong skills in Space Planning and layout optimization to create functional, aesthetically refined environments.
- Proficiency in developing and reviewing Furniture Drawings, including joinery details.
- Hands-on experience with FF&E selection, specification, and coordination, including finishes, fixtures, and custom furniture.
- Professional degree or diploma in Interior Design, Architecture, or a related field.
- Proficiency in design and visualization software (e.g., AutoCAD, SketchUp, Revit, or similar tools), and familiarity with presentation tools.
- Strong project management, coordination, and site supervision skills, with attention to detail and quality control.
- Effective communication and presentation abilities, with a collaborative approach to working with clients and cross-functional teams.
- Experience in or interest in working with furniture manufacturing processes and bespoke design solutions is an advantage.
