Role Description
The Senior Interior Designer will lead end-to-end interior design projects, from concept development to final execution, for high-end residential, corporate, and hospitality clients. Day-to-day responsibilities include developing design concepts and mood boards, space planning, coordinating with architects and contractors, and preparing detailed construction drawings and specifications. The role involves overseeing FF&E selection, materials and finishes, and ensuring that all design elements align with the client’s vision, budget, and timelines. The Senior Interior Designer will mentor junior team members, participate in client presentations and site meetings, and collaborate closely with cross-functional stakeholders to maintain design quality and project efficiency. This is a full-time, on-site role based in Gurugram.
Qualifications
- Strong proficiency in Interior Design and FF&E (furniture, fixtures, and equipment), including concept development, material selection, and finishes.
- Expertise in Space Planning and Architecture fundamentals to create functional, aesthetically cohesive environments.
- Advanced skills in Construction Drawings and technical documentation, with the ability to coordinate effectively with contractors and vendors.
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Interior Design, Architecture, or a related field.
- Several years of progressive experience in luxury interior design, preferably in residential, corporate, or hospitality projects.
- Proficiency with industry-standard design and drafting tools (e.g., AutoCAD, Revit, SketchUp, Adobe Creative Suite) and 3D visualization software.
- Strong project management, client communication, and presentation skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines.
- Attention to detail, problem-solving mindset, and the ability to collaborate in a multidisciplinary studio environment.
Responsibilities
- Lead the preparation of high-quality design presentations, concept decks, mood boards, and material presentations for client reviews.
- Conduct client meetings independently, understand project requirements, translate client expectations into design solutions, and maintain strong professional relationships throughout the project lifecycle.
- Represent NSN Studio Divine in all client interactions with the highest standards of professionalism, communication, and design expertise.
- Present design concepts confidently to clients, consultants, and stakeholders while effectively addressing feedback and incorporating revisions.
- Coordinate with consultants, vendors, contractors, and project management teams to ensure seamless execution of design intent.
- Conduct regular site visits to monitor project progress, resolve design-related issues, and ensure quality standards are maintained.
- Manage project timelines, deliverables, budgets, and client expectations from concept through handover.
- Mentor and guide junior designers, reviewing drawings, presentations, and technical documentation to maintain studio quality standards.
- Stay updated with global design trends, luxury materials, emerging technologies, and innovative design practices to enhance project outcomes.
