Role Description The Senior Interior Designer is a full-time, on-site role based in Bengaluru. This role is responsible for leading interior design projects from concept to execution, including developing design concepts, space plans, and detailed drawings aligned with client requirements and brand standards. The Senior Interior Designer collaborates with architects, project managers, and vendors to select FF&E, coordinate material specifications, and ensure designs are delivered on time, within budget, and to quality standards. Daily responsibilities include meeting clients, preparing presentations and mood boards, reviewing construction drawings, conducting site visits, and monitoring design implementation. The role also involves mentoring junior designers, maintaining design documentation, and supporting continuous improvement in design processes and standards.
Qualifications
- Ability to plan and organize interior spaces effectively, with strong skills in Space Planning and Interior Design.
- Foundational knowledge of Architecture and coordination with architectural teams to align interior concepts with overall building design.
- Proficiency in creating and reviewing Construction Drawings to translate design concepts into clear, buildable documentation.
- Experience in selecting and specifying FF&E (furniture, fixtures, and equipment) to achieve functional, aesthetic, and budgetary goals.
- Bachelor’s degree or higher in Interior Design, Architecture, or a related field.
- Strong proficiency in design and drafting software (e.g., AutoCAD, SketchUp, Revit, or similar tools), and presentation tools (e.g., PowerPoint, Canva, Adobe Suite).
- Demonstrated experience managing end-to-end interior projects, preferably in residential or mixed-use real estate environments.
- Excellent communication and client-facing skills, with the ability to present ideas clearly and collaborate with cross-functional teams.
- Attention to detail, time management, and the ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously in a fast-paced setting.
- Knowledge of materials, finishes, local building standards, and basic cost estimation; prior experience in Bengaluru or similar markets is an advantage.
