Role Description The Senior Interior Designer will be responsible for leading interior design projects from concept through completion, including client briefings, design development, and coordination with project stakeholders. Day-to-day responsibilities include preparing design presentations, detailed layouts, and construction drawings; selecting materials, finishes, and FF&E; and ensuring that designs align with client requirements, budget, and timelines. The role involves close collaboration with architects, consultants, and site teams to oversee implementation, resolve design issues, and maintain quality standards on-site. This is a full-time, on-site role based in Mumbai, requiring regular site visits, vendor interactions, and supervision of execution to ensure design intent is accurately realized.
Qualifications
- Strong Interior Design expertise with proficiency in Space Planning to create functional, aesthetic layouts that meet client needs.
- Understanding of Architecture principles to coordinate seamlessly with structural, MEP, and allied design teams.
- Ability to develop precise Construction Drawings and documentation for execution, approvals, and contractor coordination.
- Experience in FF&E (furniture, fixtures, and equipment) selection, specification, and coordination with vendors and suppliers.
- Bachelor’s degree or diploma in Interior Design, Architecture, or a related field.
- Proficiency in design and drafting software (e.g., AutoCAD, SketchUp, Revit, or similar) and presentation tools.
- Proven experience managing interior projects end-to-end, preferably in residential, commercial, or hospitality sectors.
- Strong visual and conceptual design skills, with an eye for detail, materials, and finishes.
- Effective communication and client-facing skills, with the ability to present ideas clearly and manage expectations.
- Ability to lead and mentor junior designers, coordinate with multidisciplinary teams, and work to deadlines.
