About Alchemic
Alchemic is a VC-backed market research platform that helps companies get customer insights in hours, not months. We run AI interviews over voice, video, text, and WhatsApp, and automatically generate consultancy-grade reports. Every conversation is mined for insights and made searchable — so company knowledge is never lost. Our clients include some of India's largest FMCG, consumer, and tech companies.
The Role
You'll own client outcomes for AI-powered research projects end-to-end. That means scoping studies with clients, running fieldwork on our platform, mining transcripts for insights, building decks that decision-makers actually act on, and feeding everything you learn back into how we build the product. You will:
- Run research projects: own client outcomes from kickoff to final deck, ensuring high-quality insights delivered fast
- Build the playbook: spot gaps in how we run studies and implement processes to fix them; we're still early enough that the way you do the work becomes the way it gets done
- Automate the boring parts: partner with our tech team to turn repetitive workflows into product features
- Shape the product: work directly with the founders on what direction the platform should take
You'll thrive here if
- You're a data person. You're comfortable with statistical reasoning. You know when a sample size is too small to trust, you can explain a p-value without googling, and you occasionally dream in numbers.
- You have a market research background. Hands-on experience running both quant and qual studies, from methodology design through fieldwork to final recommendations.
- You're a strong communicator, verbal and written. You can turn a complex spreadsheet into a slide anyone can understand, and summarize a 40-page deck in a WhatsApp message.
- You're tech-forward. You've tried multiple LLMs and have opinions about them. You've worked on Qualtrics, Typeform, or similar. You know your way around Tableau or Power BI. You understand the difference between SaaS and on-prem and why it matters.
- You believe Gen AI will transform consumer insights. Read our site. Stalk our competitors. If you're not excited about equity as a meaningful part of comp, not a consolation prize for low cash, we're probably not the right fit.
Must-have qualifications
- 5-7 years of market research experience, ideally at a premier consulting firm, research agency, or in-house insights team
- Client-facing experience — there are clients who trust your advice on running market research or insight programs
- World-class Excel / Google Sheets skills
- Excellent PowerPoint / Google Slides skills — you can build a deck a CMO would present without edits
- Strong written and verbal English and preferably Hindi as well
- Demonstrated ability to work independently in a remote setup
Nice to have
- Prior exposure to AI/LLM tools in a research or analysis context
- Experience contributing to research proposals or sales collateral
- Background working with consumer brands (FMCG, beauty, D2C, retail)
