Job Description – Senior Infrastructure Specialist
Experience: 8-15 years
- Design, implement, and manage scalable, secure, and highly available infrastructure environments across on-premise, cloud, and hybrid platforms.
- Architect and support multi-cloud infrastructure solutions on AWS, Azure, and GCP based on business, SaaS application, and client requirements.
- Drive infrastructure automation initiatives using Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools such as Terraform, Ansible, CloudFormation, or ARM templates.
- Manage virtualization, containerization, and orchestration platforms including VMware, Docker, and Kubernetes environments.
- Lead business continuity, disaster recovery planning, backup validation, failover testing, and periodic DR drills to ensure operational resilience.
- Monitor infrastructure health, performance, security, logging, and observability using enterprise monitoring and alerting tools.
- Ensure infrastructure compliance with security standards, patch management, vulnerability remediation, and access governance policies.
- Collaborate closely with DevOps, Security, Product Engineering, and Business teams for seamless deployment and operational excellence.
- Manage and optimize SaaS production environments to ensure high availability, scalability, uptime, and performance SLAs.
- Handle infrastructure deployment activities including server setup, migrations, upgrades, cloud adoption, and production go-live support.
- Troubleshoot complex infrastructure, networking, cloud, and system-related issues with proactive root cause analysis and resolution.
- Support CI/CD pipeline integration and automation initiatives to improve release management and operational efficiency.
- Coordinate with external vendors, cloud providers, OEMs, and managed service partners for procurement, support, and issue resolution.
- Prepare and maintain infrastructure documentation, architecture diagrams, SOPs, audit records, and technical reports.
- Participate in infrastructure capacity planning, cost optimization, and technology modernization initiatives.
- Mentor junior engineers, conduct technical training sessions, and contribute to knowledge-sharing initiatives across teams.
- Stay updated with emerging cloud, infrastructure, cybersecurity, and SaaS operations trends to recommend innovative solutions and best practices.
Preferred Skills & Experience
- Strong experience in AWS, Azure, or GCP cloud platforms
- Knowledge of Linux/Windows server administration and enterprise networking
- Hands-on experience with Kubernetes, Docker, CI/CD, and automation tools
- Understanding of IaaS, PaaS, SaaS, backup, DR, and security best practices
- Familiarity with monitoring tools such as Grafana, Zabbix, Nagios, or Prometheus
- Excellent troubleshooting, communication, and stakeholder management skills
- Experience working in SaaS, BFSI, or enterprise IT environments preferred
