Role Description The Senior Industrial Engineer will lead initiatives to optimize production processes, improve workflow, and enhance efficiency across garment manufacturing operations. This full-time, on-site role based in Erode involves conducting time and motion studies, analyzing production data, and developing standard operating procedures to reduce waste and increase output. The role includes collaborating with production, quality, and maintenance teams to design and implement layout improvements, capacity planning, and line balancing. The Senior Industrial Engineer will also support the adoption of new technologies, drive continuous improvement projects, and ensure that methods align with safety, quality, and cost targets. Additionally, the position requires mentoring junior engineers and contributing to long-term operational strategies.
Qualifications
- Strong foundation in Industrial Engineering and Manufacturing Engineering, with demonstrated experience in garment or apparel production environments.
- Advanced Analytical Skills for data-driven decision-making, time and motion studies, capacity analysis, and performance measurement.
- Effective Communication skills to collaborate with cross-functional teams, present findings, and train staff on new processes and standards.
- Proven expertise in Process Improvement, including lean manufacturing, workflow optimization, line balancing, and continuous improvement methodologies.
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or a related field.
- Experience with production planning tools, industrial engineering software, and MS Excel or similar analytics tools.
- Knowledge of industry best practices in safety, quality control, and cost management within large-scale manufacturing.
- Ability to work on-site in Erode, lead projects independently, and mentor junior team members.
