Role Description The Senior Identity & Access Management (IAM) Engineer will design, implement, and maintain IAM solutions that secure access to enterprise systems and data across OPM’s platforms and client environments. This full-time, on-site role is based in Bengaluru and involves working closely with security, infrastructure, and application teams to define and enforce access control policies, role-based access models, and authentication standards. The engineer will manage identity lifecycle processes, integrate IAM tools with cloud and on-premises systems, and oversee technologies such as SSO, MFA, and directory services. Day-to-day responsibilities include troubleshooting access issues, performing security assessments, reviewing logs for anomalies, and ensuring compliance with regulatory and internal security requirements. The role also includes contributing to IAM architecture roadmaps, documenting standards, mentoring team members, and supporting incident response and audit activities.
Qualifications
- Candidates should possess strong Identity & Access Management skills, including role-based access control, identity lifecycle management, and policy design.
- Candidates should possess expertise with IAM technologies and protocols such as SSO, MFA, LDAP/Active Directory, SAML, OAuth, and OpenID Connect.
- Candidates should possess solid knowledge of cybersecurity principles, zero-trust architectures, and secure authentication and authorization practices.
- Candidates should possess experience integrating IAM solutions with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure), enterprise applications, and APIs.
- Candidates should possess proficiency with scripting or automation (e.g., PowerShell, Python, or similar) to streamline IAM operations and workflows.
- Candidates should possess strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with attention to detail in troubleshooting access and security issues.
- Candidates should possess excellent documentation, communication, and collaboration skills for working with cross-functional technical and business teams.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or a related field, and substantial experience in IAM or security engineering; relevant certifications (such as CISSP, CISM, or vendor-specific IAM certifications)
