Position Overview
We are seeking a highly experienced Senior Human Resources Manager to lead and oversee all HR functions for our Hospitality portfolio, including our hotel and restaurant operations. The role requires a strategic HR leader capable of building teams from the ground up, implementing strong HR policies and processes, and supporting operational growth.
The ideal candidate will have significant experience within the hospitality industry, including Hiring for pre-opening properties, and will bring a strong professional network within the industry to attract and retain top talent.
Key Responsibilities
Human Resources Strategy and Leadership:
Develop and implement HR strategies aligned with the organization’s business objectives and growth plans.
Act as a strategic partner to senior leadership on people management, organizational development, and workforce planning.
Talent Acquisition and Team Building
Lead recruitment strategies to attract high-quality talent across all hotel and restaurant departments.
Build strong teams from the ground up, including hiring for operational, managerial, and leadership roles.
Manage large-scale hiring requirements, including recruitment for pre-opening or expansion phases.
HR Policies and Compliance
Develop, implement, and maintain HR policies, employee handbooks, and Organizational procedures.
Ensure full compliance with labour laws, statutory regulations, and hospitality industry standards.
Maintain proper documentation, employee records, and HR reporting processes.
Employee Relations and Culture:
Foster a positive workplace culture focused on professionalism, teamwork, and service excellence.
Act as a trusted advisor to management and employees on HR matters and workplace issues.
Handle employee relations, conflict resolution, disciplinary processes, and grievance management.
Performance Management and Development
Implement Performance management frameworks including appraisals, feedback systems, and career development plans.
Design and oversee employee training and development programs to strengthen service standards and leadership capabilities.
HR Operations and Administration:
Oversee payroll coordination, benefits administration, employee records, and HR systems.
Ensure efficient onboarding, induction, and offboarding processes for employees.
Monitor workforce planning, staffing levels, and employee retention strategies.
Industry Networking and Employer Branding:
Leverage industry networks to attract top hospitality talent and build a strong employer brand.
Represent the organization at industry events, recruitment drives, and hospitality networks when required.
Qualifications and Experience:
Minimum 7 years of experience in Human Resources, with significant experience in hospitality, hotels, or restaurant operations.
Demonstrated experience hiring teams for pre-opening hospitality projects or new property launches.
Strong knowledge of HR policies, labour laws, statutory compliance, and hospitality workforce management.
Proven ability to build and lead HR functions and teams in a growing organization.
Excellent leadership, interpersonal communication, and conflict resolution skills.
Strong professional network within the hospitality and service industry.
A degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Hospitality Management, or a related field is preferred.
