Job Description – Senior HR Business Partner (HRBP)

About the Role
We are looking for a strategic and dynamic Senior HR Business Partner (HRBP) to partner with business leaders and drive people strategies aligned with organizational goals. The role will be responsible for talent management, employee engagement, workforce planning, performance management, organizational development, and HR operations support across business functions.
The ideal candidate should possess strong business acumen, excellent stakeholder management capabilities, and experience in managing HR initiatives in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities
Strategic HR Partnership
- Partner closely with business leaders to understand organizational priorities and align HR strategies with business objectives.
- Act as a trusted advisor to senior leadership on people-related matters, organizational effectiveness, and workforce planning.
- Support organizational transformation, restructuring, and change management initiatives.
- Drive strategic workforce planning, succession planning, and leadership capability development.
Stakeholder Management & Business Engagement
- Build strong relationships with business leaders, functional heads, and cross-functional stakeholders to drive HR initiatives effectively.
- Collaborate with leadership teams to identify business challenges and provide proactive HR solutions.
- Influence and coach managers on employee engagement, performance management, leadership effectiveness, and team development.
- Partner with HR Centers of Excellence (Talent Acquisition, L&D, Compensation & Benefits, HR Operations) to ensure seamless HR service delivery.
- Facilitate regular governance and review meetings with stakeholders to track people metrics, attrition trends, and organizational priorities.
- Drive communication and alignment between employees, managers, and leadership teams to foster transparency and collaboration.
- Manage complex employee relations issues with sensitivity, professionalism, and business impact awareness.
- Act as a change champion and influence stakeholders during organizational transitions and transformation programs.
Talent Management
- Support talent acquisition strategies for critical and leadership hiring.
- Drive performance management processes including goal setting, reviews, calibration, and development planning.
- Identify high-potential employees and support succession planning initiatives.
Employee Engagement & Culture
- Build and promote a positive, inclusive, and high-performance work culture.
- Lead employee engagement initiatives, surveys, and action planning discussions with leadership teams.
- Drive diversity, equity, and inclusion initiatives across business units.
- Act as a trusted advisor to employees and managers on workplace concerns and conflict resolution.
HR Operations & Compliance
- Ensure adherence to HR policies, labor laws, and organizational compliance requirements.
- Partner with HR shared services and COEs to ensure seamless HR delivery.
- Analyze HR metrics and provide insights to leadership for data-driven decision-making.
- Monitor attrition trends, employee productivity, and engagement indicators to recommend corrective actions.
Learning & Development
- Identify capability gaps and partner with L&D teams to implement development programs.
- Coach and mentor managers on leadership and people management practices.
- Support leadership development and succession planning initiatives.
Required Qualifications
- MBA/PGDM in Human Resources or related field.
- 10+ years of progressive HR experience, including experience as an HR Business Partner.
- Strong understanding of HR best practices, employment laws, and employee relations.
- Proven experience in stakeholder management and partnering with senior business leaders.
- Excellent communication, influencing, conflict resolution, and relationship management skills.
- Experience working with cross-functional and geographically distributed teams.
- Strong analytical, consulting, and problem-solving skills.
Preferred Skills
- Experience in IT, technology, shared services, or fast-growing organizations preferred.
- Ability to manage ambiguity and drive organizational change effectively.
- Strong business partnering and consulting mindset.
- Proficiency in HRMS tools, dashboards, and HR analytics.
- Experience handling large employee populations and matrix organizations.
