About Gajab : India's Bargain Bazaar. Gajab is building India's first bargaining-first marketplace, where users discover products and negotiate to arrive at a final price. We're focused on building real distribution in real communities, starting on the ground, then scaling with repeatable systems.
The Role We're looking for a high-agency growth leader who has built and executed repeatable play books to acquire buyers via unconventional methods. If you love solving distribution problems, ship experiments fast, and get excited by data and P&L ownership, this role is for you.
At Gajab, GTM means owning demand growth end to end: acquiring and activating buyers, building affiliate and ambassador communities, capturing user insights, and converting them into fast experiments. Occasional field or on-ground activity may be required for partnership building, but this is not the core of the role.
What You'll Do
Team Leadership and Execution
- Manage and develop a lean team across growth, community, and ops
- Build lightweight processes: weekly planning, experiment reviews, and execution checklists
- Operate with urgency and full ownership. No waiting, no excuses
Growth and Partnerships
- Onboard affiliates and build repeatable onboarding playbooks
- Build relationships with campus leaders, student groups, and local community hubs
- Identify, test, and scale partnership channels: colleges, micro-influencers, local events
Ambassador and Affiliate Program
- Oversee and scale a community of 500+ campus ambassadors, affiliates, and similar partners
- Design incentive structures, targets, training, communication rhythms, and quality controls
- Build tracking and accountability systems for community-led acquisition and sales
Insight Capture and Feedback Loops
- Gather real buyer feedback to surface objections, motivations, and triggers
- Convert insights into improvements for GTM messaging, onboarding, and experiments
- Share structured learnings with Product, Design, and Operations, and follow through to execution
What Success Looks Like in 60 Days
- Clear map of current funnels built: buyer acquisition and community engine
- Buyer insights documented and shared with the team
- Repeatable weekly experiment cadence established with clear hypotheses and tracking
- One core funnel improved meaningfully: ambassador activation or buyer activation
- Playbooks, SOPs, and team routines created for initiatives that showed traction
- Measurable growth demonstrated across at least 2 to 3 channels: community, partnerships, or acquisition loops
Must-Haves
- Marketplace or consumer internet experience
- 6+ years overall experience, with 4 to 5+ years in core growth marketing, acquisition, or GTM execution
- Proven ability to run experiments end to end: ideation, execution, measurement, and iteration
- Prior experience managing a small team or leading execution through others
- Strong communication and listening skills, able to read the real pulse of users
- Measurable outcomes from past growth work, can speak to numbers, not just initiatives
Nice-to-Haves
- Experience building large community programs: campus ambassador networks, affiliate programs, field teams, or micro-influencer ecosystems
- Background in high-velocity 0 to 1 or 1 to 10 startup scaling
- Experience bridging offline and online growth, especially in Tier 2/3 markets
- Track record of building community-led growth programs.
This Role Isn't For You If
- You prefer strategy decks over hands-on execution
- You avoid ambiguity or need heavy structure before starting
- You're uncomfortable owning outcomes and being accountable to numbers
Why Join Gajab
- Direct access to founders and real influence over business direction
- Ownership of Gajab's entire demand growth engine, not a slice of it
- High-agency environment where experiments ship in days, not quarters
- Opportunity to build a category-defining distribution model for Bharat
Interview Process
- Round 1: HR Screening (20 to 30 min)
- Round 2: Hiring Manager Round, GTM depth and past wins (45 to 60 min)
- Round 3: Case Assignment, design 1 to 2 growth experiments with an execution plan (take-home)
- Round 4: Cross-Functional Round, product and ops alignment (30 to 45 min)
- Round 5: Founder Round (30 min)
Expected turnaround: 1 to 2 weeks.
