Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Senior GST Tax Filing Executive role based in Mumbai. The role involves managing end-to-end GST compliance, including preparation, review, and timely filing of GST returns, reconciliations, and supporting schedules. The executive will monitor changes in GST regulations, interpret updates, and ensure accurate implementation in day-to-day processes. Responsibilities include coordinating with internal finance and accounting teams, validating transaction data, resolving discrepancies, and maintaining detailed documentation for audits and assessments. The role also includes preparing GST-related reports for management, supporting statutory audits, responding to notices or queries from tax authorities, and recommending process improvements to enhance compliance and efficiency.
Qualifications
- Candidates should possess strong Accounting skills, with experience in bookkeeping, ledgers, and GST-related entries.
- Candidates should possess skills in Financial Reporting and preparation of Financial Statements related to indirect taxation and compliance.
- Candidates should possess solid Finance and Analytical Skills to interpret GST data, perform reconciliations, and identify variances or risks.
- Relevant qualifications such as a Bachelor’s degree in Commerce, Accounting, Finance, or a related field; professional certifications in taxation or GST are an advantage.
- Hands-on experience in GST return filing (GSTR-1, GSTR-3B, annual returns) and reconciliation tools or accounting software (e.g., Tally, SAP, or similar).
- Strong knowledge of Indian GST laws, rules, and regulatory requirements, including practical exposure to compliance and audits.
- Attention to detail, ability to work with large data sets, and proficiency in MS Excel and other office productivity tools.
- Effective communication skills and the ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams and external stakeholders.
