About the Role:
Educart (K–8 segment) is seeking a Sr. Graphic Designer to lead the design and production of engaging children’s books. The ideal candidate will have a strong command of design software, creative flair, and experience managing end-to-end DTP processes.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead, supervise, and mentor the illustration team to enhance skill levels and maintain creative standards
- Oversee the creation of high-quality illustrations for children’s books (print & digital)
- Review and approve final artwork, ensuring it aligns with the book's design, content, and storytelling goals
- Collaborate closely with designers, editors, and the DTP team to ensure seamless workflow and timely execution
- Guide the illustration team in achieving consistency in style, color palette, and visual identity across projects
- Ensure final designs are refined and production-ready before sending them for content review and printing
Job Specification:
- Strong experience in illustration, preferably in children’s books or educational content
- Proficiency in Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, and related illustration/design tools
- Ability to conceptualize and develop visual styles, characters, and storytelling elements
- Excellent team management and mentoring skills
- Strong attention to detail, creativity, and ability to work within deadlines
- Experience reviewing and finalizing designs for print production
