Graphic Designers conceptualize and design visual ideas, understanding the client’s needs and developing a brand’s visual identity. The duties and responsibilities of a Graphic Designer include the following:
- Creating visual designs for print and digital media
- Collaborating with clients and decision-makers to understand project requirements
- Designing brand kits to ensure branding consistency
- Using design software to produce visually appealing designs
- Creating visual elements like logos and illustrations
- Revising designs based on client feedback
- Designing graphic content, illustrations, and infographics.
- Managing graphic designs from conception to delivery.
- Reviewing junior designer drafts to ensure quality.
- Generating fresh concepts.
- Ensuring brand consistency throughout various marketing projects.
- Liaising between the marketing and design teams to ensure deadlines are met.
- Keeping up-to-date with industry developments.
Senior Graphic Designer Requirements:
- A graphic design qualification or similar.
- Portfolio with design projects.
- Proven work experience as a graphic designer.
- Working experience with image design tools (e.g. Photoshop and Adobe Illustrator).
- A keen eye for visual details.
- Aesthetic skills.
- Ability to collaborate and collaborate with team members.
Senior Graphics Designer Skills/Abilities/Knowledge
- Bachelor’s degree in design or any similar related/equivalent field.
- Knowledge of animation and motion design software.
- Highly skilled in Adobe design software like Adobe Photoshop, illustrator, and InDesign.
- Experience with both print and digital designs.
- Ability to manage multiple projects at the same time and to work on close deadlines.
- Ability to communicate (both oral and written) with a diverse section of people from different professional backgrounds, from educators to scientists and fellow creatives.
- Should be a creative thinker with imaginative skills and a curious learner.
- Ability to lead a team in a time-bound environment.
- Great aesthetic sense, creative thinking with attention to detail.
- Practical and environmental design experience.
