Job Description
We are seeking a highly skilled Senior GIS Developer with strong expertise in Artificial Intelligence (AI), Machine Learning (ML), and advanced GIS tool development. The role involves designing intelligent geospatial systems, building AI-powered spatial analytics solutions, automating GIS workflows, and developing scalable enterprise GIS tools. The ideal candidate will bridge Geospatial Technologies and AI Engineering to deliver next-generation spatial intelligence solutions.
Key ResponsibilitiesAI-Driven GIS Solution Development
- Design and develop AI/ML models for geospatial data analysis.
- Build spatial prediction models (classification, object detection, segmentation).
- Implement computer vision techniques for Satellite, Aerial images, and LiDAR data.
- Develop deep learning pipelines for geospatial feature extraction.
GIS Tool & Application Development
- Develop custom GIS tools like Plugins, MDLs, SBM, LISP and automation scripts.
- Build scalable Web GIS applications and APIs.
- Develop geo-processing services and micro service architectures.
- Optimize geospatial algorithms for performance improvement and output scalability.
Technical Leadership
- Lead AI-GIS innovation initiatives.
- Mentor junior GIS and AI developers.
- Collaborate with Data Scientists, AI Engineers, and Product teams.
- Define technical standards and best practices.
- Document the tool requests and developments.
Educational Qualifications
Required:
- Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in engineering discipline such as, GIS / Geo-informatics / Computer Science / Artificial Intelligence / Data Science, Information Technology / Civil / Electrical Electronics / Mechanical
Technical Skills & Software Requirements
- Core GIS Platforms: ArcGIS Pro / ArcGIS Enterprise, QGIS, MicroStation / SPATIX, AutoCAD
- Programming Languages: Python (NumPy, Pandas, GeoPandas, PyQT), JavaScript, C++, C# / .NET, Visual Basic, React.js
- Geospatial Python Libraries: GDAL, Rasterio, Shapely, ArcPy, PyQGIS
- Spatial Databases: PostgreSQL with PostGIS, MS SQL Server, Oracle Spatial
- Remote Sensing: Satellite imagery, LiDAR data, UAV imagery
