Role Overview
We are looking for a Lead / Senior GCP Java Developer with strong expertise in building scalable, cloud-native applications on Google Cloud Platform (GCP). This role requires a blend of hands-on development, technical leadership, and solution architecture capabilities.
You will play a key role in designing, developing, and optimizing applications while guiding a small team and collaborating with stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and develop scalable applications using Java on GCP
- Define system architecture and contribute to end-to-end solution design
- Lead technical discussions and provide thought leadership
- Develop and review high-quality, maintainable code
- Work on API development and integrations
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams and client stakeholders
- Mentor junior developers while actively contributing as an individual contributor
Core Skills (Must Have)
- Strong experience in Java (8+ years)
- Hands-on experience with GCP services (GKE, BigQuery)
- Strong expertise in API development
- Advanced SQL skills (complex query writing and optimization)
- Experience with Azure DevOps (ADO) or similar tools
- Strong problem-solving and debugging skills
Good to Have
- Experience with C# / .NET or Python
- Exposure to OpenShift or Google Cloud Spanner
- Experience working in high-scale, performance-driven environments
