The Association of People with Disability (APD), India is a Bengaluru-based non-governmental organization dedicated to empowering underprivileged individuals with various disabilities since 1959. APD operates comprehensive programs in both rural and urban Karnataka, addressing a range of disabilities such as locomotor, spinal cord injury, speech and hearing impairments, cerebral palsy, and more. With over 1 million lives impacted, APD employs a lifecycle approach encompassing early intervention, education, livelihood, rehabilitation, and advocacy to improve the quality of life for persons with disabilities. The organization collaborates with NGOs, government bodies, corporations, and other partners to extend the reach and impact of its programs while also working to influence policies at different governmental levels.
Role Description
The Senior Fundraising Manager (CSR) will spearhead efforts to develop and implement effective fundraising strategies targeting corporate social responsibility (CSR) initiatives, major donors, and philanthropic entities. Responsibilities include designing and executing fundraising campaigns, building and nurturing relationships with corporate sponsors, managing donor communications, and ensuring effective stewardship to maintain long-term partnerships. The role also involves aligning fundraising efforts with organizational goals and creating proposals to secure grants and partnerships. This is a full-time, on-site position based in Bengaluru.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in cultivating and managing relationships with Major Donors and securing large-scale philanthropic contributions.
- Strong Communication skills, including the ability to effectively convey the organization’s mission to prospective donors and stakeholders.
- Experience in Philanthropy and an in-depth understanding of donor behavior and fundraising methodologies.
- Knowledge and experience working with Charities and understanding of CSR-driven collaborations.
- Experience in developing and executing successful Annual Giving programs.
- Ability to create compelling proposals and conduct presentations for fundraising initiatives.
- Strong organizational, strategic planning, and project management skills.
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Business, Communications, Nonprofit Management, or a related field. A background in development or fundraising is a plus.
