As discussed, we do have an opportunity for you as a Senior Associate/Lead- Private Credit Fund Accounting, Hyderabad
Shift Timings: 2 PM to 11 PM IST/3:00 PM to 12:00 AM IST
Location: Hyderabad
We are looking for a mid-level fund accounting professional to join our Private Credit Fund Accounting/Private Equity Fund Accounting team. This role will support end-to-end accounting for closed-ended private credit funds, collaborating with internal teams and client-side stakeholders such as Fund Administrators, Relationship Managers, and Operations teams in the U.S. The role offers an opportunity to work on complex fund structures and gain hands-on experience in Private Credit operations.
The ideal candidate will have 5 years of relevant experience in Private Credit Fund Accounting/Private Equity Fund Accounting within the financial services industry. A solid understanding of credit fund structures such as Master-Feeder, SPVs, and Blockers is essential.
Key Responsibilities:
- Support day-to-day fund accounting operations for private credit funds.
- Assist in managing P&L allocations across complex fund structures (Master-Feeder, SPVs, Blockers).
- Perform or support calculations related to waterfalls, capital calls, and distributions.
- Ensure adherence to operational procedures, checklists, and client-specific SLAs.
- Prepare NAV packages and assist in monthly/quarterly financial reporting.
- Support cash reconciliation, expense processing, and loan activity tracking (Term Loans, Revolvers, Unitranche, CLOs, etc.).
- Record journal entries for interest accruals, PIK, amortizations, prepayments, and other loan lifecycle events.
- Assist with audit support, compliance reporting, and investor reporting deliverables.
- Work with fund accounting platforms such as Investran, Geneva, or Efront.
- Collaborate with team members to enhance process efficiency and contribute to SOP documentation.
- Participate in system/process improvement initiatives and ongoing project work.
Qualifications & Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or Economics (or equivalent).
- Overall 7+ years of fund accounting experience, with at least 5 years in Private Credit Funds/Private Equity Funds. (Must Have)
- Experience with Credit Fund Structures (Master-Feeder, SPVs, Blockers) (Must Have)
Hands-on with Cash Reconciliation, Expense Reimbursement. (Must Have)
- Has worked on Term Loans / Revolvers / Unitranche / Bridge Loans / DDTL / CLOs. (Must Have)
- Exposure to Loan Accounting including JE's – Interest Accruals, PIK, Paydowns, Prepayments, Defaults, Amortization of OID, Premium, Discount. (Must Have)
- Understanding of Loan Lifecycle / Letter of Credit / Covenant Tracking / Loan Settlements. (Must Have)
- Knowledge of capital calls, distributions, management fees, and PCAP allocations.
- Understanding of performance metrics: IRR (Gross/Net), waterfall calculations, hurdle rate, catch-up, and carry.
- Hands-on experience with financial statements and trial balances.
- Experience using Investran or similar fund accounting platforms preferred.
- Strong attention to detail, ability to work with multi-entity and multi-currency structures.
- Good communication and collaboration skills.
