Role Summary
We are building and scaling a multi-service AI-enabled platform (https://www.ztal.ai/) across backend services, frontend apps, and cloud infrastructure. We’re hiring a full-stack engineer to work on a mature recruitment platform with workflow-heavy backend systems, structured frontend architecture, and AI-assisted product features.
This role is for someone who is comfortable joining an existing codebase, understanding established patterns quickly, and making safe, high-quality changes across frontend and backend. You should be confident building features, fixing bugs, writing tests, and refactoring toward cleaner architecture in a non-greenfield environment.
A core part of this role is using AI coding agents such as Codex, Claude Code, GitHub Copilot, or similar tools as a force multiplier. We are specifically looking for engineers who know how to direct AI tools effectively, give them the right context and constraints, and use them to accelerate delivery without outsourcing engineering judgment.

What you’ll do
- Build and enhance full-stack product features across React frontend and Python backend services
- Work within established engineering standards and architectural boundaries
- Implement workflow-driven backend logic, APIs, and integrations
- Improve frontend flows with clean layering, maintainable state management, and strong test coverage
- Refactor existing code to improve maintainability, separation of concerns, dependency injection
- Add regression protection through unit and integration tests
- Contribute to AI-assisted product capabilities, including LLM-integrated workflows where appropriate
- Use AI coding agents to accelerate implementation, code comprehension, refactoring, and review
- Give AI tools clear technical instructions, codebase context, constraints, and acceptance criteria to produce useful output
- Refine and course-correct AI-generated suggestions through testing, code review, and architectural reasoning
What we’re looking for
- 3+ years of software engineering experience in production systems
- Strong experience with TypeScript and React
- Strong experience with Python and backend API development
- Strong experience with PostgreSQL or similar relational databases
- Strong experience building and maintaining REST APIs
- Good testing discipline with tools such as Pytest and modern frontend test frameworks
- Experience working in existing codebases with established patterns and constraints
- Strong hands-on experience using AI coding agents such as Codex, Claude Code, GitHub Copilot, or similar tools in day-to-day development
- Ability to give AI coding tools precise technical instructions with the right context, constraints, and expected outcomes
- Ability to evaluate, refine, and correct AI-generated output rather than relying on it blindly
