About Us
XCentium is an award-winning digital consultancy focused on DX, UX, Content, Commerce, CRM, Service, and Cloud. We build with heart, lead with excellence, and guide with expertise. As a leader in Salesforce Commerce, CRM, Service, and MuleSoft, we are the first company globally to achieve the Salesforce Master Navigator for B2B Commerce. Our team is growing, and we are looking for a highly dedicated individual who can deliver creative, technical ideas that drive change for us and our clients.
About the Role
We're looking for a Senior Full Stack Developer with a strong generalist background to join our engineering team and help build scalable, high-performance web applications. You'll work across the entire stack — from front-end frameworks and CMS-driven experiences to backend services, APIs, and database design. This role suits someone who has worked across a few different tech stacks, adapts quickly to new tools and codebases, and can bring architectural judgment to both front-end and backend decisions rather than being tied to a single framework.
What You'll Do
- Design, build, and maintain complex, high-performance user interfaces using React, Next.js, Angular, or Vue.js depending on project needs.
- Build and maintain RESTful and/or GraphQL APIs, and design backend services using Node.js (Express/NestJS) or a similar framework.
- Architect and optimize relational and/or NoSQL database schemas (PostgreSQL, MySQL, MongoDB).
- Build and customize front-end experiences on enterprise CMS platforms (e.g., Optimizely, Sitecore, Contentstack, or similar headless/traditional CMS).
- Implement server-side rendering (SSR), static site generation (SSG), and incremental static regeneration (ISR) using Next.js to improve performance and SEO.
- Translate designs and business requirements into scalable, maintainable full stack architecture.
- Collaborate closely with product managers, designers, content teams, and other engineers to translate requirements into technical solutions.
- Own features end-to-end — from technical design through deployment and monitoring in production.
- Evaluate and recommend tools, libraries, and frameworks based on project requirements.
- Identify and resolve performance bottlenecks across the stack (frontend rendering, API latency, database queries).
- Contribute to CI/CD pipelines and help improve development workflows and deployment practices.
- Participate in code reviews and mentor mid-level and junior developers.
- Champion engineering best practices around performance, accessibility, code quality, and testing across the team.
What We're Looking For
- 5+ years of professional experience in full stack web development, with demonstrated depth across more than one major front-end framework (React/Next.js, Angular, Vue.js).
- Strong hands-on expertise in React.js and Next.js, including hooks, context API, SSR/SSG, and performance optimization techniques.
- Solid experience with TypeScript and modern JavaScript (ES6+).
- Backend development experience with Node.js and frameworks such as Express or NestJS.
- Proficiency working with relational databases (PostgreSQL/MySQL) and/or NoSQL databases (MongoDB).
- Experience designing and consuming RESTful and/or GraphQL APIs in production applications.
- Proven experience working with at least one enterprise CMS platform (Optimizely, Sitecore, Contentstack, Contentful, Adobe Experience Manager, or similar); experience with headless CMS architecture is a strong plus.
- Strong proficiency in HTML5 and CSS3, including semantic markup, modern layout techniques (Flexbox/Grid), responsive design, and cross-browser compatibility.
- Understanding of state management libraries (Redux, Zustand, Recoil, NgRx, Pinia/Vuex, or similar).
- Experience with component-driven development and design systems (Storybook or similar).
- Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, or Azure) and containerization tools (Docker, Kubernetes) is a plus.
- Experience with version control (Git) and collaborative workflows (GitHub/GitLab, pull requests, code review).
- Working knowledge of CI/CD pipelines and automated testing (Jest, React Testing Library, Cypress, or Playwright).
- Familiarity with Agile/Scrum development methodologies.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment, quickly ramping up on unfamiliar codebases, frameworks, and CMS platforms.
- Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate with cross-functional, distributed teams.
Nice to Have
- Experience with agentic coding tools and AI-assisted development workflows (e.g., Claude Code, GitHub Copilot, Cursor, or similar).
- Familiarity with web accessibility standards (WCAG 2.1) and experience building accessible, inclusive user interfaces.
- Experience with microservices architecture.
- Familiarity with serverless frameworks (Vercel, AWS Lambda).
- Exposure to monorepo tooling (Turborepo, Nx).
- Prior experience in an agency, consultancy, startup, or multi-client environment where adapting to different tech stacks was routine.
- Contributions to open-source projects or a strong personal portfolio.
