About Museigen
Museigen builds mission-critical autonomous and cognitive AI infrastructure for multi-domain operations.
Our work spans defence, aerospace, aviation, critical infrastructure, autonomous platforms, complex enterprise operations, and AI-native knowledge work. We are building systems that help humans and organisations reason over fragmented context, coordinate action, reduce cognitive load, and supervise increasingly capable AI.
This is not a generic AI-app company. We are building from India for global markets, with a small team and serious technical ambition.
Alongside our core product work, Museigen takes on a small number of selected client deployments powered by Museigen tech. This role sits across both.
The Role
Museigen is hiring a Full-Stack Developer on a 12-week contract, with a clear path to a full-time, founding-level engineering role for the right person.
This is not a fixed scope of tickets. It is a dual mandate:
- Lead engineering on a client deployment in a regulated financial-services environment, owning delivery end-to-end.
- Contribute, in parallel, to shared Museigen internal systems used across our products.
The contract is, in effect, a working trial. We are looking for someone who can ship serious software fast, hold a high quality bar under real constraints, and demonstrate the judgement and ownership we expect from a full-time Museigen engineer. Strong performance over the contract is the route to a permanent role.
There is real urgency. An early production milestone is targeted within the first few weeks of the engagement, so we need someone who can move quickly without breaking discipline.
The Engagement
The client deployment is a production web application operating in the regulated financial-services space.
The engineering character of the work matters more than the specifics. You will be building a real product that runs under genuine regulatory and data-protection constraints, where correctness, security, and auditability are not optional.
In this environment, identity verification (KYC), anti-money-laundering (AML) checks, compliance workflows, and data privacy are core engineering requirements, not afterthoughts. You will be expected to design and build these flows to a standard that holds up to scrutiny.
We do not disclose the client, the product specifics, or deeper architecture at the application stage. Those are shared under the appropriate confidentiality boundaries once it makes sense to do so.
In parallel with the client engagement, you will contribute to shared internal systems at Museigen.
This work is deliberately part of the role. It is how you get exposure to the wider Museigen stack, and it is a meaningful part of how we assess fit for a permanent, founding-level position.
We describe this work at a high level in public materials. The detail is shared under confidentiality once you are engaged.
What You Will Work On
- Build and ship production front-end surfaces using modern technologies.
- Build and integrate backend services and APIs.
- Implement authentication, onboarding, identity-verification (KYC), and compliance-adjacent flows to a defensible standard.
- Integrate third-party providers (for example, verification, payments, and similar services).
- Handle sensitive data responsibly: security, privacy, access control, error handling, and auditability.
- Contribute reviewed code to shared Museigen internal systems.
- Use AI-assisted development tools intelligently to move faster without sacrificing review discipline or code quality.
- Write enough tests and documentation that your work survives well beyond the first demo.
AI tools do not remove the need to understand your work. You are responsible for what you ship.
What Success Looks Like
- An early production milestone is shipped on schedule, in usable shape.
- KYC, AML, and compliance requirements are delivered to a standard that holds up under real regulatory scrutiny.
- Your contributions to shared Museigen systems meet the team's quality bar.
- You demonstrate the ownership, speed, and judgement we expect from a full-time Museigen engineer, making the conversion decision easy.
What You Bring
Required
- Strong with React, JavaScript and TypeScript.
- Productive with Python and/or Node.js on the backend.
- Working experience with Supabase or an equivalent backend platform (authentication, database, storage).
- Solid REST API design and integration skills.
- Either prior experience delivering KYC, regulatory, or compliance requirements in production, or clear, demonstrable ability to learn and deliver such requirements within tight timelines. We care that the requirements ship correctly and on time; how you got the experience matters less.
- Evidence of having shipped real, used software end-to-end (a deployed product, repository, internal tool, or comparable work you owned).
- The ability to debug systems, not just symptoms, and to work effectively in a fast-moving environment with evolving scope.
Bonus
- Direct experience integrating KYC, AML, or identity-verification providers.
- Payment gateway integration experience.
- Fintech, financial-services, or other compliance-adjacent product experience.
- Experience with RAG pipelines, vector search, or LLM API integration.
- React Native experience, for potential expansion of scope into mobile.
- Awareness of deployment discipline, security practices, access control, and responsible handling of sensitive user and customer data.
- Experience using AI coding tools (for example, Claude Code, Cursor, and similar) while maintaining strong code quality and review discipline.
Who You Are
- You own delivery end-to-end rather than waiting for every requirement to be pre-scoped.
- You treat regulatory, compliance, and security requirements as engineering problems to solve, not as blockers or someone else's job.
- You move fast without shipping fragile work, and you care when an interface or system misrepresents what is actually happening underneath.
- You can take an evolving brief, tighten the scope yourself, and produce a working, defensible first version.
- You want to build products people actually use, and you are genuinely interested in joining Museigen full-time.
Not a Fit If
- You need every requirement fully scoped before you can start.
- You treat compliance, security, and data protection as someone else's problem.
- You ship code you have not read or cannot defend.
- You are comfortable shipping fragile software as long as it demos well.
- You are not interested in a potential full-time path at Museigen.
Confidentiality and Sensitive Work
Museigen works on commercially and strategically sensitive AI systems, including systems relevant to defence, aerospace, critical infrastructure, enterprise operations, autonomous platforms, and AI-native knowledge work. This role also involves a client deployment in a regulated environment.
Public job descriptions intentionally describe the work at a high level. The client's identity, product specifics, and deeper technical, deployment, and architecture details are shared only when appropriate and under the right confidentiality boundaries, not at the application stage.
All team members and contractors sign standard confidentiality and IP agreements. Candidates are not expected to disclose confidential information from previous employers, institutions, or clients.

Step 3. Email join@museigen.ai with the subject line "[APPLICATION] Full-Stack Developer (Contract -> FT) // Museigen" and the following:
- Your CV and LinkedIn profile.
- A short note explaining why this role and Museigen's mission interest you.
- One artefact you built or materially contributed to, ideally in a regulated or compliance-adjacent context.
- A short explanation of that artefact: what you built, what tools you used, what worked, what failed, what you would improve, and whether real users used it.
- The role-specific material requested below.
We read applications carefully. We prioritise evidence of judgement, shipped work, originality, learning velocity, and clear thinking over credential signalling alone.
Role-specific material: include a GitHub profile, representative repository, deployed app, product demo, code sample, PR, internal tool, or technical write-up. Explain what you built, what you owned, and what real users or reviewers did with it. If you have shipped anything involving KYC, compliance, payments, or sensitive-data handling, highlight it.
