Senior Full Stack Developer - AI/LLM (10+ Years Experience)
Location: Remote
Engagement Type: Full-time contract
Experience Required: 10+ Years
Contract Duration: 2 months initially with possibility of extension based on performance
About the Role
We are looking for a Senior Full Stack Developer with strong expertise in AI/LLM technologies to join our team. This role will focus on building and maintaining advanced AI-powered applications, developing scalable infrastructure, and supporting research and development in machine learning and generative AI. The ideal candidate will have deep experience in full stack development combined with modern AI frameworks, including LLMs, RAG systems, vector databases, and AI agents/chatbots. You will work on both internal innovation initiatives and client-facing projects, contributing to the development of cutting-edge AI solutions.
Key Responsibilities
AI & Machine Learning Development
- Develop and maintain AI Sandbox environments for experimentation and innovation
- Conduct ML / LLM research and development
- Build and maintain AI agents, chatbots, and conversational systems
- Design and implement Advanced RAG (Retrieval-Augmented Generation) pipelines
- Work on AI-driven document processing and querying systems
- Support development teams with AI proof-of-concepts (POCs)
Full Stack Development
- Design and develop web applications and server infrastructure
- Build scalable backend APIs and AI integration layers
- Develop responsive AI-powered user interfaces
- Provide technical consulting and architecture guidance for AI-driven applications
Platform & Infrastructure
- Contribute to the development and maintenance of OPTICAL platform infrastructure
- Implement containerized deployments and scalable architecture
- Ensure sustainable platform architecture based on production-grade experience
Team Collaboration
- Mentor and guide less experienced technical team members
- Conduct knowledge sharing and training sessions
- Participate in ideation and execution of internal and client-facing AI initiatives
Quality & Automation
- Implement AI-powered quality control and automated testing solutions
- Develop agentic AI systems for internal and client projects
Required Skills & Technology Stack
1. Generative AI / LLM Stack
- Experience with OpenAI (GPT-4o), Anthropic (Claude), or Google Gemini
- LLM orchestration frameworks such as LangChain or LlamaIndex
- Experience building AI agents and RAG-based applications
2. Vector Databases & Embeddings
- Experience with Pinecone, Weaviate, Milvus, or pgvector
- Knowledge of embeddings and semantic search
- Familiarity with Hugging Face Transformers
3. Backend Development
- Strong experience with Python or Node.js / TypeScript
- Backend frameworks such as FastAPI, Flask, Express, or NestJS
- Experience with API development and microservices
- Data validation using Pydantic
- Caching mechanisms such as Redis
4. Frontend Development
- Experience with React.js, Next.js, or Angular
- Building AI-powered interfaces and chatbot UIs
- Streaming AI responses into UI using Vercel AI SDK
5. Machine Learning
- Experience with Scikit-learn for traditional ML tasks
- Deep learning frameworks like PyTorch
- Familiarity with model training, fine-tuning, and experimentation
6. MLOps & Model Management
- Tools such as MLflow or Weights & Biases
- Managing experiment tracking and model versioning
7. Infrastructure & Deployment
- Containerization using Docker and Kubernetes
- Cloud platforms such as AWS SageMaker, Google Vertex AI, or Azure AI Services
- Serverless platforms like AWS Lambda or Vercel
8. Developer Productivity Tools
- AI coding assistants such as GitHub Copilot, Cursor, Tabnine, or Sourcegraph Cody
- AI-powered testing tools like Qodo
Preferred Qualifications
- Strong experience in AI product development or applied AI systems
- Experience building production-scale AI applications
- Strong architectural thinking and platform design skills
- Ability to translate research concepts into production-ready systems
