The Common Mapping Tools (CMT) team is seeking a Senior Front-end Developer to
build and enhance modern, responsive user interfaces. In this role you will work closely
with product owners, UX designers, and backend engineers to deliver high-quality
features, implement reusable User Interface (UI) components, and maintain scalable
front-end architecture. You will be expected to write clean, maintainable code, follow UI
best practices, and collaborate using GitHub-based workflows.
Key Responsibilities
Develop and maintain responsive UI features using HTML/CSS and JavaScript
Build component-based front-end applications using React
Implement predictable state management using Redux
Collaborate with UX/design to translate wireframes and requirements into
working UI
Participate in code reviews and follow Git workflows (branching, PRs, merges)
Troubleshoot UI issues, optimize performance, and ensure cross-browser
compatibility
Required Qualifications
7+ years professional experience in Front End development
Strong proficiency in HTML/CSS
Strong proficiency in JavaScript
Strong proficiency in React
Strong proficiency in Redux
Hands-on experience with GitHub
Experience working in an Agile development environment
BA/BS degree or equivalent practical experience
Preferred Qualifications
Experience using npm and managing dependencies/build scripts
Understanding of accessibility principles (e.g., semantic HTML, keyboard
navigation, ARIA basics)
Experience with front-end testing libraries such as Jest and React Testing
Library (unit/component testing)
Working knowledge of GitHub Actions (CI/CD workflows, automated checks)
