Job details:
Senior Frontend Developer — SaaS Platform
React · Next.js · TypeScript · React Router | Full-time | Remote / Hybrid | Mid–Senior Level
── About the Role ──
We are building an enterprise-grade SaaS platform and looking for a Senior UI Engineer who takes deep pride in what users see, feel, and interact with. You will own the frontend layer — crafting scalable component systems, ensuring rock-solid performance, and maintaining a high bar for accessibility and visual consistency.
This is not a design-handoff-to-code role. We want someone who thinks deeply about UI architecture, challenges design assumptions constructively, and builds interfaces that delight users at scale.
── What You Will Do ──
• Build and maintain a scalable, reusable component library in React + TypeScript
• Implement complex UI features with Next.js (App Router) and React Router
• Own frontend performance — Core Web Vitals, lazy loading, code splitting
• Translate Figma designs into pixel-perfect, accessible UIs
• Write robust unit and integration tests for UI components
• Collaborate with backend engineers to integrate REST APIs cleanly
• Define and enforce frontend coding standards and best practices
• Mentor junior frontend developers through code reviews
── Must-Have Skills ──
• 2+ years of professional React development
• Deep expertise in Next.js and React Router
• Strong TypeScript — types, generics, utility types, strict mode
• Consuming and managing REST API data (React Query / SWR / Zustand)
• CSS mastery — Tailwind, CSS Modules, or styled-components
• Web accessibility standards (WCAG 2.1 AA)
• Testing with Jest, Vitest, or React Testing Library
• Experience in a CI/CD environment with Git workflows
── Core Tech Stack ──
React · Next.js (App Router) · TypeScript · React Router · Tailwind CSS · Zustand / Redux Toolkit · React Query / SWR · Storybook · Jest / Vitest · React Testing Library · Playwright / Cypress · Figma · GitHub Actions
── Enterprise SaaS UI Requirements ──
• Component library architecture with versioning (Storybook + Chromatic)
• Multi-tenant UI — white-labelling, theming, per-tenant feature flags
• Role-based UI rendering (RBAC — show/hide based on permissions)
• Internationalisation (i18n) and RTL layout support
• Complex data-heavy UIs — tables, filters, charts, dashboards
• Form architecture at scale (React Hook Form + Zod validation)
• Error boundaries, skeleton loading states, and resilient UX patterns
── Nice to Have ──
• Micro-frontend experience (Module Federation)
• Charting libraries — Recharts, Victory, or D3.js
• Design token systems and CSS variable theming
• Experience with monorepo tooling (Turborepo, Nx)
• WebSockets or real-time UI (Socket.io, SSE)
• Familiarity with headless CMS or dashboard builders
• Basic understanding of BFF (Backend for Frontend) patterns
── What We Look For in You ──
• You obsess over UI details — spacing, motion, loading states, empty states
• You write tests before shipping, not after
• You push back on unclear designs and ask the right UX questions
• You treat accessibility as a feature, not an afterthought
• You document components and keep Storybook up to date
• You thrive in async, remote-friendly team environments
