Full Job DescriptionJob Overview
We are seeking an experienced and motivated Senior Freight Broker to join our growing team. This is a night shift position, aligned with US/Canada business hours, where you will play a key role in coordinating freight transportation between shippers and carriers while leading a small team.
Key Responsibilities
- Generate leads, attract new clients, and build a strong sales pipeline
- Manage and mentor a team of 5–7 members
- Identify and select reputable, safe, and reliable carriers for freight services
- Provide accurate and competitive shipping quotes to customers
- Book freight orders with carriers and ensure timely execution
- Collaborate with shippers, carriers, and dispatchers to manage pickups and deliveries
- Monitor and maintain knowledge of market trends in the transportation and logistics industry
- Resolve operational issues efficiently while maintaining high customer satisfaction
- Negotiate rates and service agreements with carriers and customers
Qualifications
- Minimum 1 year of experience as a Freight Broker
- Experience in US/Canada Logistics, Freight Brokerage, or the Trucking Industry
- Strong sales and operational management skills
- Excellent verbal and written communication abilities
- Outstanding negotiation and relationship-building skills
- Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities
- Ability to work independently and lead a team in a fast-paced environment
