Role Description
This is a remote, contract role for a Senior Footwear Designer. In this position, you will lead the design and development process for unique, high-quality footwear products. Responsibilities include creating technical drawings, developing innovative product designs, researching materials, generating mood boards to guide aesthetics, and overseeing product development through to final production. You will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to ensure products meet brand and market requirements.
Qualifications
- Strong skills in Technical Drawing and Product Design
- Proficiency in Industrial Design and Product Development
- Experience in creating Mood Boards to communicate design concepts
- Understanding of manufacturing processes and material selection
- Creative thinking with attention to detail and market trends
- Strong collaboration and communication skills in a remote work environment
- Relevant experience in footwear design; experience within the fashion or retail industry is a plus
- Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Design, Fashion Design, or a related field preferred
