At E-CON Packaging Pvt. Ltd., logistics is more than transportationāit's the backbone of our customer commitment. We operate a captive fleet of 62 company-owned trucks, ensuring reliable, high-volume deliveries across our network.
We are looking for a Senior Logistics Executive who can take complete ownership of our fleet operations and ensure every truck is utilized efficiently, every route is optimized, every cost is controlled, andāmost importantlyāevery truck has a qualified driver behind the wheel.
Key Responsibilities
ā
Manage the day-to-day operations of our 62-truck captive fleet, including dispatch planning, route optimization, and vehicle utilization.
ā
Develop and maintain a strong pipeline for recruiting, onboarding, and retaining commercial vehicle drivers to ensure uninterrupted fleet operations.
ā
Coordinate preventive maintenance, repairs, and breakdown support to maximize vehicle uptime.
ā
Ensure complete statutory compliance for all fleet assets, including RC, permits, insurance, PUC, fitness certificates, and driver documentation.
ā
Monitor fuel efficiency, maintenance costs, and trip-wise logistics expenses while identifying opportunities for cost optimization.
ā
Supervise drivers and helpers, promote safe driving practices, and ensure adherence to company policies and SOPs.
ā
Prepare and maintain fleet MIS reports covering utilization, trip performance, operational costs, and compliance metrics.
What We're Looking For
ā 5ā10 years of experience in Logistics/Fleet Operations, preferably managing a company-owned or captive fleet.
ā Proven experience in recruiting, managing, and retaining commercial vehicle drivers.
ā Strong understanding of transport regulations and fleet compliance requirements.
ā Experience coordinating with maintenance workshops, fuel vendors, and transport service providers.
ā Good analytical skills with the ability to monitor logistics costs and improve operational efficiency.
Preferred Skills
ā¢ Experience with GPS-based fleet tracking systems or fleet management software.
ā¢ Knowledge of route planning and route optimization practices.
ā¢ Fluency in the local language along with Hindi and English to effectively manage driver engagement.
