Key Deliverables
(Essential Functions & Responsibilities of the Job)
- Lead fit evaluation and garment construction analysis across knit and woven categories
- Conduct fit sessions and provide detailed technical feedback to design, development, and production teams
- Review patterns, measurements, grading, and construction to ensure consistency in fit and sizing standards
- Collaborate closely with designers, merchandisers, and factories to achieve desired garment fit and functionality
- Analyze samples from proto to pre-production stages and recommend corrections for fit, balance, proportion, and comfort
- Develop and maintain fit standards, measurement charts, and technical guidelines across categories
- Ensure all products meet brand standards for quality, silhouette, wearability, and finish
- Identify recurring fit or construction issues and implement corrective solutions proactively
- Work closely with production and QA teams to ensure fit consistency in bulk production
- Maintain detailed fit comments, approval records, and technical documentation throughout the development cycle
- Mentor junior technical and quality teams while contributing to process improvements and standardization
Skills Required
- Strong expertise in garment construction, pattern making, grading, and fit analysis for knit and woven garments
- Deep understanding of fabric behavior, drape, shrinkage, and garment finishing processes
- Strong technical knowledge of apparel manufacturing and production workflows
- Ability to identify and resolve fit, balance, and construction issues with precision
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills for working across design, production, and vendor teams
- High attention to detail with strong problem-solving abilities
- Proficiency in technical documentation, measurement specifications, and fit reporting
- Strong understanding of sizing standards and consistency across categories
- Ability to manage multiple styles and deadlines in a fast-paced environment
- Experience working with premium or contemporary fashion brands preferred
