Role Overview
We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Senior Data & MIS Analyst to manage, transform, and analyse large volumes of data across multiple platforms including Excel, MS Access, SQL databases, and enterprise systems.
This role will act as a critical bridge between operational data and executive decision-making, delivering accurate, timely, and actionable insights to C-level leadership.
Key Responsibilities
1. Data Management & Integration
- Consolidate and manage large datasets from Excel, MS Access, SQL databases, and internal systems
- Build automated data pipelines to improve efficiency and reduce manual effort
- Ensure data integrity, consistency, and accuracy across all reporting sources
2. Advanced Analytics & SQL Expertise
- Write complex SQL queries, stored procedures, and views for data extraction and transformation
- Optimize queries for performance when working with high-volume datasets
- Develop analytical models to identify trends, risks, and opportunities
3. Reporting & Executive Dashboards
- Design and deliver MIS dashboards (daily, weekly, monthly) for C-suite stakeholders
- Present insights in a clear, concise, and business-focused manner
- Build automated reporting frameworks using Excel (Power Query, Power Pivot), MS Access, and BI tools
4. Business Insights & Decision Support
- Translate complex data into actionable insights to drive business growth
- Provide forecasting, KPI tracking, and scenario analysis
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver customized reporting solutions
5. Process Improvement & Automation
- Identify gaps in reporting processes and implement automation solutions
- Establish best practices for data governance, documentation, and version control
- Support digital transformation initiatives by modernizing legacy systems
Required Skills & Qualifications
- Expert-level proficiency in Microsoft Excel (Power Query, Power Pivot, advanced formulas; VBA preferred)
- Strong experience in MS Access (database design, queries, forms, automation)
- Advanced knowledge of SQL with hands-on experience in relational databases
- Proven ability to handle large and complex datasets under tight timelines
- Excellent communication and presentation skills for senior leadership engagement
- Experience with BI tools such as Power BI or Tableau is an added advantage
