ROLE OVERVIEW
We are looking for a sharp, detail-oriented, and experienced Accounts & Finance Manager to lead all financial operations of our manufacturing unit. The ideal candidate will bring hands-on experience in a manufacturing environment and have a thorough understanding of Bill of Materials (BOM), inventory valuation, cost accounting, and statutory compliance. This is a critical leadership role requiring someone who can own the numbers end-to-end — from daily bookkeeping to MIS reporting and audits.
Roles & Responsibilities
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
1. Bill of Materials (BOM) & Costing
• Review, verify, and create Bills of Materials (BOM) for all manufactured products in coordination with the production team
• Perform standard cost rollups and maintain accurate product costing based on BOM data
• Monitor BOM revisions and ensure cost records are updated accordingly in the accounting system
• Conduct variance analysis between standard costs and actuals; report deviations to management
2. Day-to-Day Accounting
• Manage and supervise all day-to-day accounting operations: journal entries, ledger maintenance, bank reconciliation, and accounts payable/receivable
• Oversee petty cash, vendor payments, advance management, and employee reimbursements
• Ensure accurate and timely booking of all financial transactions in the ERP/accounting software
3. Inventory & Stock Management
• Monitor and reconcile raw material, WIP (Work-In-Progress), and finished goods inventory on a regular basis
• Coordinate with the warehouse/stores team to verify physical stock vs system records
• Manage inventory valuation (FIFO/Weighted Average) and report slow-moving or obsolete stock
• Oversee stock audits and cycle counts; investigate and resolve discrepancies
4. Taxation & Statutory Compliance
• Handle end-to-end GST compliance: preparation and filing of GSTR-1, GSTR-3B, GSTR-9/9C
• Manage TDS / TCS computation, deduction, payment, and return filing (Form 24Q, 26Q, 27Q)
• Ensure compliance with the Companies Act, Income Tax Act, and other applicable statutes
• Liaise with tax consultants, auditors, and government authorities as needed
• Manage advance tax computations and timely deposit
5. Financial Reporting & MIS
• Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements: P&L, Balance Sheet, Cash Flow
• Generate MIS reports and dashboards for management decision-making
• Monitor budget vs actuals; flag deviations and provide actionable insights
• Support year-end closure, statutory audits, and internal audits
6. Banking & Treasury
• Manage banking relationships, working capital facilities, and LC/BG documentation if applicable
• Oversee fund flow planning and ensure adequate liquidity for operations
• Handle forex transactions and documentation if import/export is involved
7. Payroll & HR Finance Interface
• Oversee payroll processing in coordination with HR, including PF, ESIC, PT, and LWF compliance
• Ensure timely deposit of statutory dues and filing of related returns
Required Skills And Competencies
REQUIRED SKILLS & COMPETENCIES
• Strong working knowledge of Bill of Materials (BOM) and manufacturing cost accounting
• Proficiency in GST, TDS, income tax, and all compliance filings relevant to a manufacturing entity
• Hands-on experience with ERP systems (Tally Prime, SAP B1, Oracle, or similar)
• Sound understanding of inventory accounting — FIFO, weighted average, and costing methods
• Ability to prepare and interpret financial statements independently
• Strong analytical, communication, and team management skills
• Working knowledge of MS Excel (pivot tables, VLOOKUP, financial modelling)

B.Com / M.Com / MBA (Finance)
Preferred Qualification
Chartered Accountant (CA) / Cost Accountant (CMA)
Experience
5–10 years, with minimum 3 years in a manufacturing firm
Industry Exposure
Manufacturing | Diagnostics / Pharma / Healthcare preferred
ERP / Software
Tally Prime / SAP / Oracle or equivalent (mandatory)
Preferred Background
• Prior experience specifically as a CA / CA inter with articleship in a manufacturing company
• Exposure to diagnostics, pharmaceutical, medical devices, or FMCG manufacturing is a strong advantage
• Experience in handling government inspections, GST audits, or income tax assessments independently
• Knowledge of cost audit requirements under the Companies (Cost Records and Audit) Rules
