ABOUT THE COMPANY
Sumith Electronics Pvt. Ltd. is a leading technology-driven organization specializing in Intelligent Transport Management Systems (ITMS), embedded electronics, IoT solutions, and advanced transportation technologies. We are seeking an experienced finance professional to strengthen our Finance & Accounts function and support the company's growth.
ABOUT THE ROLE
The Senior Finance Executive will be responsible for managing the organization's finance and accounting operations, ensuring statutory compliance, preparing financial reports, monitoring budgets, managing cash flow, and supporting business decision-making. The ideal candidate should possess strong analytical skills, hands-on accounting expertise, and experience in manufacturing or electronics industries.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Maintain books of accounts in accordance with applicable Accounting Standards and statutory requirements.
- Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
- Review journal entries, ledgers, and account reconciliations.
- Ensure timely month-end and year-end closing activities.
- Monitor vendor payments and customer receivables.
- Verify invoices, purchase orders, and payment approvals.
- Manage ageing analysis and follow up on outstanding receivables.
- Reconcile vendor and customer accounts.
- Prepare and file GST returns accurately and on time.
- Ensure compliance with TDS, Income Tax, Professional Tax, PF, ESI, and other statutory regulations.
- Coordinate with statutory, internal, GST, and tax auditors.
- Maintain statutory records and documentation.
- Assist in annual budgeting and financial forecasting.
- Monitor departmental budgets and analyze variances.
- Support cost optimization initiatives and management reporting.
- Manage banking operations, fund flow, and cash flow planning.
- Process vendor payments, salary disbursements, and statutory payments.
- Coordinate with banks for loans, bank guarantees, letters of credit, and other banking requirements.
- Prepare monthly MIS reports and financial dashboards.
- Analyze profitability, operational costs, and key financial metrics.
- Present financial insights and recommendations to management.
- Support statutory, internal, GST, and tax audits.
- Strengthen internal financial controls and compliance processes.
- Ensure proper documentation for financial transactions.
- Work with ERP/accounting software such as Tally Prime, SAP, Oracle, Microsoft Dynamics, Zoho Books, or similar systems.
- Maintain financial records with high accuracy and data integrity.
- Support ERP implementation or process improvement initiatives, if required.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor's Degree in Commerce (B.Com)
- MBA (Finance), M.Com, CA Inter, CMA Inter, or equivalent qualification preferred.
REQUIRED SKILLS
- Strong knowledge of Accounting Standards and financial reporting.
- Hands-on experience in GST, TDS, Income Tax, PF, ESI, and statutory compliance.
- Excellent working knowledge of Tally Prime and Microsoft Excel (Pivot Tables, VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP, financial reporting).
- Familiarity with ERP systems.
- Understanding of budgeting, costing, inventory accounting, and working capital management.
- Knowledge of Companies Act provisions related to finance and accounting is desirable.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- High attention to detail and accuracy.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
- Strong ethical standards and confidentiality.
- Leadership capability with the ability to mentor junior finance staff.

- Experience in handling manufacturing cost accounting and inventory management is an added advantage.
