Role Description
Key Roles & Responsibilities
- Handle day-to-day accounting activities, including vouchers, journal entries, and ledger maintenance
- Manage accounts payable & receivable, vendor payments, and customer collections
- Track costing and margin analysis for refining, packing, and distribution operations
- Reconcile bank statements, cash books, and inter-company accounts
- Assist in GST compliance (returns, reconciliations, e-way bills)
- Support statutory audits, internal audits, and tax audits
- Maintain MIS reports related to sales, purchase, stock, expenses, and profitability
- Coordinate with production and procurement teams for cost control and variance analysis
- Ensure compliance with company policies and financial controls
- Support budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning activities
Key Skills & Competencies
- Strong knowledge of accounting principles and GST
- Experience in inventory and cost accounting (preferred in edible oil/FMCG sector)
- Proficiency in MS Excel and accounting software (Tally/ERP/SAP preferred)
- Good analytical, reconciliation, and reporting skills
- Attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines
- Effective communication and coordination skills
