Finance Controller
Location: Mumbai
Experience: 12–18 years
Reporting To: CFO
Role Overview
The Finance Controller will be responsible for overseeing the organization’s financial
health, ensuring robust financial controls, compliance, and accurate reporting. The role
will partner with business leaders to drive profitability, support strategic decisionmaking,
and ensure eGicient financial operations in a global IT services environment.
Key Responsibilities
Financial Reporting & Compliance
• Lead monthly, quarterly, and annual financial close processes
• Ensure compliance with accounting standards (Ind AS / IFRS / US GAAP as
applicable)
• Manage statutory audits, tax audits, and regulatory filings
Controllership & Governance
• Establish and maintain strong internal controls and financial governance
frameworks
• Ensure compliance with company policies and regulatory requirements
• Identify and mitigate financial risks
Business Finance & Decision Support
• Partner with business leaders on financial planning, budgeting, and forecasting
• Provide insights on revenue, margins, cost optimization, and profitability
• Support pricing, deal structuring, and commercial decisions
Revenue & Cost Management
• Oversee revenue recognition (especially for T&M, Fixed Price, Managed Services
models)
• Track project profitability, utilization, and cost structures
• Drive margin improvement initiatives
Cash Flow & Working Capital
• Monitor cash flow, receivables, payables, and working capital cycles
• Ensure eGective billing and collections processes
Team Leadership
• Lead and mentor finance and accounting teams
• Drive process improvements and automation initiatives
Key Skills & Competencies
• Strong knowledge of IT services financial models (T&M, Fixed Price, Managed
Services)
• Expertise in financial reporting, controllership, and compliance
• Experience in business partnering and stakeholder management
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Exposure to ERP systems (SAP/Oracle) and financial tools
Qualifications
• CA / CPA / MBA (Finance) preferred
• 12+ years of experience in finance roles, with at least 3–5 years in a leadership
position
• Prior experience in IT services / technology services organization is highly
preferred
