Job Title:
Sr. Finance Analyst – ITSM Vendor Governance (MSP & Contractor Management)
Role Summary:
The Sr. Finance Analyst is a critical member of the ITSM Governance team, specifically tasked with the financial oversight of Managed Service Providers (MSPs) and external labor contractors. You will be responsible for the end-to-end financial lifecycle of these partnerships—from validating monthly Resource Unit (RU) consumption to ensure that ADM is receiving the service levels and cost efficiencies defined in our global contracts.
At ADM's scale, even a small percentage of billing leakage in an MSP contract can result in millions of dollars in unnecessary spending. You are the safeguard that ensures our IT partners are performing efficiently, billing accurately, and helping ADM maintain its competitive edge.
Key Responsibilities:
- MSP Financial Governance: Serve as the primary financial liaison between ADM GT, Procurement and our vendors and MSP partners. Validate monthly invoices against contractual rate cards and service delivery reports.
- Resource Unit (RU) Analysis & Reconciliation: * Monitor and audit consumption across IT towers (e.g., Service Desk tickets, Compute instances, Storage, Network ports).
- Manage the "True-up/True-down" process, ensuring ADM only pays for utilized capacity within agreed-upon Deadbands.
- Contractor Spend Management: Oversee the financial onboarding and monthly billing for staff augmentation and project-based contractors. Track "Burn Rates" against approved Statements of Work (SOWs).
- Tight collaboration with ADM Budget management for inclusion of spend against budget and any adjustment to forecast.
- Tight collaboration with Procurement for existing contract and any augmented SOWs to work with the Governance to determine scope of work is not double-dipping items.
- Performance-Linked Billing: Partner with Service Level Managers to calculate and apply Service Level Credits or penalties when MSPs fail to meet contractual Performance Indicators (KPIs).
- Show-back & Allocation: Provide transparency to ADM business units by allocating MSP costs back to the specific departments or regions consuming the services.
- Process Improvement: Identify "Unit Cost" optimization opportunities, such as shifting workloads to lower-cost RUs or identifying redundant contractor roles.
Required Qualifications:
Category Requirement:
- Experience: 5+ years in Finance or IT Business Management, with at least 2 years focused on Vendor/MSP Governance.
- RU Expertise: Deep understanding of Resource Unit (RU) and ARU/BRU (Additional/Basline) billing models within large-scale IT Outsourcing (ITO) contracts.
- Contract Literacy: Ability to interpret complex Master Service Agreements (MSAs) and financial exhibits to ensure billing compliance.
- Technical Tools: Advanced Excel (Pivot Tables, VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP, Power Query); experience with ServiceNow and ERP systems (e.g., SAP).
- Communication: Strong negotiation skills; ability to challenge MSP billing discrepancies and defend ADM’s financial interests in governance meetings.
Preferred Skills for ADM Context:
- Global Exposure: Experience managing vendors across multiple time zones and currencies.
- Audit Readiness: Experience preparing financial documentation for internal and external audits of IT spend.
- TBM Knowledge: Familiarity with Technology Business Management (TBM) principles to categorize and benchmark MSP spend.
