Job description
We are seeking an experienced Senior Finance & Accounts Executive to oversee the company's financial operations, ensure accurate accounting, manage compliance, and support strategic financial planning. The ideal candidate has strong leadership skills, excellent analytical abilities, and in-depth knowledge of accounting principles and statutory requirements.
Financial Management
- Manage end-to-end finance operations, including accounting, budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning.
- Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements (P&L, Balance Sheet, Cash Flow).
- Monitor cash flow, working capital, and fund management.
- Support strategic decision-making with financial insights and analysis.
Accounting Operations
- Oversee day-to-day accounting activities and ensure accuracy of financial records.
- Review general ledger, journal entries, reconciliations, and trial balance.
- Ensure timely closing of monthly and annual accounts.
- Implement and maintain internal controls and accounting policies.
Compliance & Audit
- Ensure compliance with statutory regulations: GST, TDS, Income Tax, PF/ESI, and other applicable laws.
- Coordinate with statutory, internal, and tax auditors; provide required documentation.
- Ensure timely filing of all financial and tax returns.
- Maintain proper financial documentation for audit readiness.
Team Leadership & Coordination
- Lead and mentor the finance and accounts team.
- Allocate tasks, review performance, and ensure timely completion of deliverables.
- Collaborate with internal departments such as operations, HR, and leadership teams.
Reporting & MIS
- Provide periodic MIS reports for management review.
- Prepare variance analysis, cost tracking, and budget vs actual reports.
- Assist in financial modelling, business planning, and forecasting exercises.
Required Skills & Competencies
- Strong knowledge of accounting standards, GST, Income Tax, and statutory compliance.
- Proficiency with accounting software (Tally ERP, Zoho Books, SAP, or similar).
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and numerical skills.
- Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Advanced Excel & financial reporting capabilities.
Qualifications
CA / CMA / MBA Finance preferred.
- B.Com / M.Com with strong relevant experience may also apply.
- 2-4+ years of experience in finance & accounting.
