Role Description The Senior Field Service Engineer is a full-time, on-site role based in the Pune District. The role involves installing, commissioning, inspecting, and maintaining industrial component cleaning machines and automation equipment at customer locations. Day-to-day responsibilities include diagnosing technical issues, performing troubleshooting and repairs, executing preventive maintenance schedules, and ensuring optimal machine performance. The engineer will provide on-site technical support, train customer personnel on proper operation and basic maintenance, and document service activities and reports. Collaboration with the design, production, and after-sales teams to relay customer feedback and support continuous improvement is also a key part of this position.
Qualifications
- Strong field service and on-site installation/commissioning skills for industrial machines and automation systems.
- Proficiency in troubleshooting, fault diagnosis, and root-cause analysis of mechanical, electrical, and control systems.
- Experience providing technical support and guidance to customers and internal teams.
- Ability to perform preventive maintenance, inspections, and performance checks to reduce downtime.
- Solid customer service skills, including clear communication, professionalism, and relationship management.
- Diploma or degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Mechatronics, or related engineering field.
- Hands-on experience with industrial cleaning machines, automation equipment, or similar capital machinery is an advantage.
- Willingness to travel within the Pune District and occasionally to other regions as required.
- Ability to read technical drawings, manuals, and electrical/mechanical schematics.
- Good command of English and local languages, with strong documentation and reporting skills.
