Role Description The Senior Fashion Designer will lead the design and development of seasonal collections, from concept and mood boards to final samples, aligned with global trends and brand requirements. This full-time, on-site role based in Noida involves researching market trends, forecasting styles, colors, and fabrics, and translating insights into commercially viable designs for key international clients. The role includes creating detailed technical sketches, developing CADs, overseeing fabric and trim selection, and collaborating closely with merchandising, sampling, and production teams to ensure design integrity and cost-effectiveness. The Senior Fashion Designer will review prototypes, provide fit and construction feedback, maintain design consistency across product lines, and present collections to internal stakeholders and buyers.
Strong expertise in fashion design, including concept development, collection building, and trend interpretation.Proficiency in CAD and design software (e.g., Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop) and ability to create clear technical sketches.Deep understanding of fabrics, trims, washes, garment construction, and fit for woven and knit categories.Experience collaborating with merchandising, production, and sourcing teams to balance aesthetics, cost, and timelines.Proven ability to work with international fashion brands or retailers and adapt designs to varied market preferences.Strong communication and presentation skills, with the ability to articulate design concepts and feedback clearly.Demonstrated leadership in guiding and mentoring junior designers or design assistants.Awareness of sustainable design practices, responsible material choices, and ethical manufacturing considerations.Excellent time management and organizational skills to handle multiple collections, deadlines, and buyer requirements.Bachelor’s degree or equivalent qualification in Fashion Design, Fashion Technology, or a related discipline.Prior experience in a similar senior design role within the apparel manufacturing or fashion industry.
