About the Role
We are seeking a talented and visionary Senior Fashion Designer to lead the design and development of innovative apparel collections. The ideal candidate combines strong creative instincts with technical expertise and a deep understanding of market trends, consumer behavior, and product development. This role will drive the design process from concept to production while mentoring junior designers and collaborating with cross-functional teams.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the creation and development of seasonal apparel collections aligned with brand strategy.
- Research fashion trends, consumer insights, and competitive products to identify new opportunities.
- Develop mood boards, color palettes, sketches, technical drawings, and design specifications.
- Select fabrics, trims, prints, and embellishments appropriate for product categories.
- Create and maintain detailed tech packs for product development and production teams.
- Collaborate with merchandising, sourcing, marketing, and production partners throughout the product lifecycle.
- Oversee sample development, fittings, and design revisions to ensure quality and fit standards.
- Manage multiple projects and seasonal calendars to meet deadlines.
- Mentor and guide junior designers, fostering creativity and professional growth.
- Present design concepts and collection strategies to leadership and stakeholders.
- Ensure all designs meet quality, cost, and commercial objectives.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Fashion Design, Apparel Design, or a related field.
- 7+ years of fashion design experience, including experience leading design projects.
- Strong portfolio showcasing creative and commercially successful collections.
- Proficiency in Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, and other industry design software.
- Advanced knowledge of garment construction, pattern making, textiles, and fit.
- Excellent communication, presentation, and leadership skills.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience working with domestic and international suppliers.
- Knowledge of sustainable design and sourcing practices.
- Experience with PLM systems and 3D design software (CLO3D, Browzwear, etc.).
- Prior experience managing or mentoring design teams.
