Role Objective
The Senior Façade Designer will lead the façade design team in developing innovative and high-performance façade, glazing, and cladding solutions. This role is responsible for ensuring technical accuracy, quality, and timely delivery of façade design outputs from concept stage through execution.
Key Responsibilities & Accountabilities
Design Leadership & Strategy
- Lead the complete façade design process for major projects.
- Develop innovative façade concepts and solutions aligned with project requirements.
- Provide technical leadership and mentorship to the design team.
Technical Governance & Final Approval
- Review and approve façade drawings, detailing, and specifications.
- Ensure compliance with architectural plans, engineering standards, and building codes (local & international).
- Maintain technical integrity across all façade deliverables.
Team & Stakeholder Management
- Manage project teams including designers and engineers to meet objectives.
- Coordinate with execution teams, consultants, and clients for design alignment and smooth delivery.
- Act as the key liaison between internal departments and external stakeholders.
Innovation & Quality Assurance
- Drive quality control processes and performance assessments of façade systems.
- Stay updated on façade technology trends, materials, and global best practices.
- Promote adoption of new tools, innovative systems, and cost-effective solutions.
Mandatory Candidate Profile
Education
- Bachelor’s Degree / Diploma in Civil Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or related field.
Experience
- Minimum 4 - 10 years of progressive experience in façade design.
Technical Expertise
- Strong proficiency in advanced CAD software and façade design tools.
- In-depth knowledge of façade materials, glazing systems, cladding, and performance requirements.
Reporting Structure
This role reports directly to the
Design Manager / Head of Façade Design.
