🔍Job Summary:
We are seeking a proactive Purchase Engineer to support procurement operations in a battery manufacturing setup. The role involves sourcing raw materials, vendor management, cost optimization, and ensuring timely availability of materials to meet production targets.
👷♂️Key Responsibilities:
· procurement of raw materials such as chemicals, metals, components, and packaging materials.
· Identify, evaluate, and develop new vendors; maintain strong supplier relationships.
· Negotiate pricing, payment terms, and contracts to ensure cost efficiency.
· Generate purchase orders and track order status to ensure timely delivery.
· Coordinate with production, planning, and quality teams for material requirements.
· Monitor inventory levels and avoid stock-outs or excess inventory.
· Ensure compliance with company policies and industry standards.
· Maintain accurate procurement records and documentation.
· Handle vendor performance evaluation and issue resolution.
· Purchase order creation and tracking orders and ensure timely material availability.

· Familiarity with ERP systems.
· Good understanding of battery/raw material supply market (preferred)

Ø Qualifications:
· Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Engineering, or related field
· MBA (Supply Chain/Operations) preferred
Ø Preferred Experience:
ü Experience in battery manufacturing, automotive, or electronics industry.
Exposure to sourcing chemicals/metals is an advantage
