About the Role
We are looking for an experienced Procurement Executive / Senior Purchase Officer to manage strategic procurement activities for marine and ship supply operations. The ideal candidate should possess extensive knowledge of ship chandling, marine products, supplier management, and time-critical procurement to ensure uninterrupted vessel operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Handle complete procurement cycle for ship supplies, technical stores, provisions, spare parts, chemicals and marine consumables.
- Review and interpret Bill of Requirements (BOR/BOM) received from vessels.
- Source products from approved vendors while ensuring quality, availability and competitive pricing.
- Negotiate prices, payment terms, credit periods and delivery schedules with suppliers.
- Develop and maintain long-term relationships with suppliers.
- Compare quotations and prepare commercial evaluations.
- Coordinate with Operations, Logistics and Warehouse teams for timely deliveries to vessels.
- Ensure supplies reach vessels within committed timelines across multiple ports.
- Monitor supplier performance including delivery timelines and quality standards.
- Manage emergency procurement requests with quick turnaround time.
- Track procurement KPIs including savings, lead time and vendor performance.
- Ensure compliance with company procurement policies.
- Identify alternate vendors to minimize supply risks.
- Maintain procurement documentation and purchase records.
- Work closely with finance for invoice verification and payment coordination.
- Keep updated with market pricing trends and marine industry requirements.

Preferred Qualification
- Bachelor's Degree in Commerce / Engineering / Supply Chain / Business Administration or equivalent.
- Certification in Supply Chain or Procurement will be an added advantage.
- Excellent communication in English & Hindi
