Role Description The Senior Executive – Project Safety is a Contract Position, on-site role based Across Various Locations in India , responsible for overseeing safety planning and implementation across industrial design and build projects. This role involves developing and enforcing site-specific safety protocols, conducting regular safety audits and inspections, and ensuring compliance with relevant health, safety, and environmental regulations. The individual will lead toolbox talks and safety trainings, maintain incident and near-miss records, and coordinate corrective and preventive actions with project and site teams. The Senior Executive – Project Safety will collaborate with project managers, engineers, contractors, and clients to integrate safety into all phases of the project lifecycle, from design reviews to commissioning. The role also includes preparing safety reports, supporting risk assessments, and promoting a proactive safety culture across all project sites.
Qualifications
- Strong knowledge of occupational health and safety standards, construction/industrial safety practices, and relevant local and international regulations.
- Experience in project safety management, including risk assessment, hazard identification, safety audits, and incident investigation.
- Ability to develop and implement safety procedures, emergency response plans, and training programs for site personnel.
- Competence in coordinating with project management, engineering, and site operations to integrate safety into planning and execution.
- Effective communication, documentation, and reporting skills, with the ability to present safety data and recommendations to stakeholders.
- Proven experience in industrial, construction, or infrastructure projects in a safety-focused role; prior exposure to design-and-build or turnkey projects is an advantage.
- Relevant professional qualifications or certifications in safety (e.g., Diploma in Industrial Safety, NEBOSH, IOSH, or equivalent) and a technical degree or diploma in engineering or a related field preferred.
- Demonstrated ability to work on-site, manage multiple project safety requirements, and promote a culture of continuous improvement in safety performance.
