Senior Executive-Fermentation
Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled and motivated Fermentation Senior Executive to join our Research & Development team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing, optimizing, and scaling fermentation processes for the production of various bioproducts. This role requires close collaboration with cross-functional teams to ensure successful implementation and continuous improvement of fermentation technologies.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and execute experiments to optimize fermentation processes
- Monitor, control, and analyze fermentation parameters to ensure product quality and consistency
- Collaborate with engineering and production teams for process scale-up (lab to pilot to commercial scale)
- Develop, implement, and maintain Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs)
- Troubleshoot fermentation-related issues and implement corrective and preventive actions
- Prepare technical reports, documentation, and presentations for internal and external stakeholders
- Stay updated with the latest advancements, technologies, and regulatory trends in fermentation and biotechnology
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Microbiology, Biochemistry, Biotechnology, Chemical Engineering, or a related field
- 5–7 years of hands-on experience in fermentation or a closely related domain
- Experience with laboratory-scale and pilot-scale fermentation systems
- Understanding of regulatory requirements in the biotechnology/pharma industry
Skills & Competencies
- Strong foundation in microbiology and biochemistry
- Expertise in fermentation process design, optimization, and scale-up
- Proficiency in analytical techniques (e.g., HPLC, GC, spectrophotometry)
- Hands-on experience with bioreactor operation, control systems, and maintenance
- Strong data analysis and interpretation skills
- Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting abilities
- Effective communication and teamwork skills
