We are seeking an experienced Senior Estimation Engineer responsible for preparing accurate techno-commercial proposals, cost estimates, and technical solutions for mechanical systems and fire protection projects. The role involves analyzing tender documents, preparing technical designs and BOQs, coordinating with internal teams and vendors, and supporting the sales team during the bidding process. The candidate will play a key role in ensuring competitive pricing, compliance with international standards, and successful project acquisition.
Key Responsibilities
- Tender & Proposal Management: Review tender documents, RFP/RFQ, technical specifications, GCC/SCC, and project scope. Prepare techno-commercial proposals aligned with client requirements. Participate in pre-bid meetings and technical discussions. Raise RFIs and ensure timely proposal submissions.
- Estimation & Costing: Develop detailed cost estimates for materials, labor, equipment, and resources. Prepare BOM and preliminary designs. Coordinate with procurement and vendors for competitive pricing. Evaluate risks and contingencies.
- Technical Design & Engineering Support: Design mechanical and fire protection systems as per NFPA, IS, NBC, and other international standards. Prepare flow calculations, P&ID diagrams, and preliminary layouts.
- Cross-Functional Coordination: Work with sales, engineering, procurement, and project teams. Coordinate with consultants, contractors, and clients for design inputs and approvals.
- Process Improvement: Monitor estimation accuracy, proposal cycle time, and win rate. Identify opportunities to improve proposal quality and efficiency.
Technical Expertise
- Mechanical systems such as wear-resistant pipelines, valves, fittings, and conveyor components.
- Fire protection systems including fire pumps, hydrants, standpipes, sprinkler systems, gas suppression systems (FM200, NOVEC 1230), water mist systems, foam systems, deluge systems, and fire alarm systems.
