📌 About the Role
Texas Instruments is looking for a Senior ESD Design Specialist to join our Advanced Technology Development team in Bangalore, India — one of the most respected semiconductor R&D organizations in the world.
You'll be embedded within TI's elite ESD Team, working hands-on with an industry-leading analog portfolio spanning precision analog, power management, imaging, audio, high-speed converters, and interface applications. This isn't a siloed role — you'll collaborate across Process Engineering, Packaging, Testing, Reliability, and Manufacturing, making a measurable impact at every stage.

🛠️ Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and implement ESD protection structures for a diverse analog product portfolio
- Lead and conduct ESD design reviews; troubleshoot failures during internal and customer qualification cycles
- Drive the design and development of ESD test structures for advanced technology assessments
- Maintain and evolve ESD protection libraries and design guideline documentation used by TI engineers and I/O cell developers globally
- Continuously improve ESD protection effectiveness and area efficiency — raising the bar on what's possible
✅ Required Skills
- Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering (3+ years ESD experience) or M.S. in Electrical Engineering (5+ years ESD experience)
- Deep expertise in analog and digital circuit operation
- Strong command of high-current device physics — diodes, resistors, BJTs, SCRs, FETs
- Hands-on knowledge of CMOS and analog silicon process flows
- Experience in high-voltage ESD design (>20V)
- Proven lab experience and strong analytical/problem-solving ability
- Self-directed, organized, capable of managing multiple concurrent projects
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
🌟 Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with BiCMOS or high-voltage analog process technologies
- Exposure to ESD qualification standards (HBM, CDM, MM, IEC 61000-4-2)
- Background in ESD characterization and TLP (Transmission Line Pulsing)
- Published research or patents in ESD or semiconductor protection design
- Prior experience in a cross-functional semiconductor R&D environment
