About the Job
As a Senior Engineer, you will own the end-to-end operations of Burkan’s VR/MR/XR development projects. Your goal is to transform the lab into a profit center by managing high-stakes client relationships (Aviation, Power, Manufacturing etc) and ensuring our training modules meet global NFPA and NBC fire safety standards.
Key Responsibilities
- System Architecture: Design and maintain the technical framework for VR/MR/XR simulations using Unity or Unreal Engine or equivalent.
- Strategic Operations: Develop the roadmap for the VR/MR/XR lab, moving from basic demonstrations to certified professional training programs.
- Analytics & Reporting: Oversee the data collection from VR sessions to provide clients with deep-dive "Human Behavior in Fire" analytics.
- Quality Assurance: Training simulation sessions to ensure they align with relevant fire safety codes.
- Assist in preparing for external workshops or demo events hosted by Burkan Engineering.
Client Engagement & Delivery Handoff
- Client Relationship Management: Act as the technical subject matter expert (SME) during pitches to government ministries and enterprise clients like authorities or enterprises.
- Serve as the on-ground contact point for clients, faculty and trainees.
- Collect participant feedback and share reports with the central training team.
- Support the delivery handoff of training or lab reports to clients after training sessions.
- Ensure brand consistency and professional presentation during all client interactions.
Required Skills & Qualifications
- Expertise and professional experience with Unity 3D or Unreal Engine or Equivalent.
- Strong understanding of 3D Asset pipelines and optimization for standalone headsets.
- Ability to mentor junior lab staff and coordinate with the ITES department.
- Graduate in any discipline BE, B.Tech, BA, BCom, BSc, BBA etc.
- Excellent communication skills in English and Hindi.
- Confidence in handling clients and managing operations independently.
Preferred (Good To Have) Skills
- Interest in fire & life safety, technology or sustainability.
- Expertise of VR/MR/XR systems or multimedia presentation tools.
- Prior experience in training coordination or event support.
- Ability to learn new digital platforms quickly.
Experience
- Prior experience in similar role with 4-8 years of experience in training, operations or customer-facing roles.
- Proven track record in Technical Project Management or UrbanTech Operations.
